Memorials |
A series of life-sized, bronze depictions of Infantry experiences
will serve to both honor soldiers and educate visitors. These
include:

Artist's conception
of Higgins Boat Memorial |
- World War II vignette – Visitors will see how Infantrymen
arrived on the shores of Normandy on D-Day in Higgins Boats. Commander
Dwight Eisenhower said of the Higgins Boat, "It won the war
for us."
- Korean War vignette – Snow-capped rocks will give visitors
an idea what conditions Infantrymen faced in combat during frigid
Korean winters.
- Ranger Patrol vignette – Visitors will learn of the special
skills Rangers possess in this vignette of an assault landing.
- Vietnam War vignette – The Huey helicopter became widely
used as a new way to put Infantrymen in position for combat. A
bronzed copy anchors this Vietnam War memorial.
- Desert Combat vignette – Infantrymen have had a great deal of desert experience in Iraq and Afghanistan. Visitors to this vignette will get a feel for the barren, sandswept landscapes of the middle east.

be part of the 200-acre memorial park. Some of these include:
